1. Who we are

BandGuru (“BandGuru”, “we”, “us”) is an online English and IELTS practice service operated by TeckPal Technology Ltd in Bangladesh. These Terms apply every time you use bandguru.ai.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BandGuru.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your mobile number and a password you set. A one-time SMS code (OTP) is used only to create your account or to reset your password. Keep your password and codes to yourself — anyone with them can reach your account.
• One person, one account. Please do not share an account with others.
• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please use BandGuru with a parent or guardian’s knowledge.
• Tell us at hello@bandguru.ai if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Packages and payment

• Mocks and other paid services come in packages. Each package has a fixed price and lists exactly what it includes (for example, a number of mock tests). The price and contents are shown before you buy.
• You pay the full price of a package at checkout through our payment partner, SSLCOMMERZ. BandGuru does not hold money for you: there is no wallet, balance, credit, points or reward system, and nothing you buy can be used to pay for anything else.
• At checkout you give your full name, email, mobile number and billing address, which SSLCOMMERZ needs to process the payment, and you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Return and Refund Policy.
• Delivery is instant and digital. A package is added to your account as soon as SSLCOMMERZ confirms your payment, usually within a minute. Nothing is shipped. If it has not appeared within 24 hours, contact us and see our Return and Refund Policy.
• What a package includes is for your own use on your account. It cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged for money except as described in our Refund Policy.
• Prices are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and include any taxes we are required to collect. We may change prices for future purchases; packages you already bought are not affected.
• Some parts of BandGuru are free. We may change what is free, but we will not take away anything you have already paid for.

4. What our band estimates mean

BandGuru gives practice estimates. They are not official IELTS scores and we do not guarantee any exam result. Our estimates are produced by software, including AI models, working from the answers you give us. They are meant to show you where you stand and what to work on next.

IELTS is administered by its own official organisations. BandGuru is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS, the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English. All practice questions on BandGuru are our own original material.

5. Using BandGuru fairly

Please do not:

• Copy, resell, or republish our questions, explanations, or audio.
• Use automated scripts to create accounts, farm free activities, or scrape content.
• Upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that is not yours to upload.
• Try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service.

We may pause or close an account that does these things. If we close your account for breaking these rules, the unused part of your packages may be forfeited.

6. Your content and ours

• What you write, record and answer stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it so we can grade it, show you feedback, and build your practice — nothing else.
• Our questions, explanations, audio, software and branding belong to us. Your account gives you permission to use them for your own learning, not to redistribute them.
• We may use anonymous, aggregated statistics (for example, “how often learners miss this question”) to improve BandGuru. This never identifies you.

7. Service availability

We work to keep BandGuru running, but we cannot promise it will never be down. We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a significant change that reduces what you already paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair remedy.

8. Ending your account

You may stop using BandGuru at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms, or if we must do so by law.

9. Our responsibility

BandGuru is a practice tool. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for exam outcomes, admission or visa decisions, or indirect losses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Bangladeshi consumer law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change matters to you, we will show a notice in the app or send you a message. Continuing to use BandGuru after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
